When you open a new tab in Firefox you have a few options for what you'll see: your homepage, a blank page, yada yada. Install this extension and you'll get a visual navigation page showing your most frequently visited sites and shortcuts to various desktop locations. And the page is customizable. From the website:

Used to be you had to use attachments to add images to your Gmail, but no more. Just go to Settings>Labs and enable the Insert Images gadget.

ToddlerTrap - Not what it sounds like/Disable mouse and keyboard for cleaning

What an unfortunate name for an innocent piece of software. But the application is something I've needed many times. Wanting to wipe down my mouse or keyboard, I have had to carry them a good distance away from my computer so there's no wireless connection, so pressing keys and mouse buttons doesn't do anything weird. No more!
