View the World from Many Eyes

IBM has made available to the public an alpha version web site called Many Eyes, adding a social component to data visualizations. Maps, network diagrams and scatter plots, the site offers a tutorial that shows users how to make their own visualizations so they can "dive into complex, multidimensional data." The site actually launched in January, so it already has collected almost 2,000 visualizations, illustrating everything from "the carbon emission of cars and the nutritional information of food on a McDonald's menu."
